Life is a journey of experiences, in which the mind plays an extraordinary role. How you experience life, and how life experiences affect you depend on the power of your mind. Whether you are going to be healthy, successful, or happy depends on your mind power, and the reality your mind has created for you. In your subconscious mind, you unwittingly create your own reality through your own thoughts or subconscious mind. Therefore, in life, every thought counts, because your whole being is composed of thoughts -- thoughts about yourself, others, and the world around you.
In Eastern religions, such as Buddhism, the purpose in life is to regain full awareness of one's true nature -- which is enlightenment. In Christianity, the purpose in life is to know God through awareness of one's own inadequacy and sinful nature, which require God's grace. From the religious point of view, life provides many opportunities for consciousness and enlightenment. How is that some people go through life and miss those opportunities, and, worse, not knowing that they have missed? The answer is in the mind power. Each and every one of us is blessed with that mind power, but not all of us know how to harness that mind power to know ourselves better through enlightenment, and to make our lives more fulfilling.
For example, many people complain about life: they say that life is not what they think it is, or what they want it to be. They may even say that they don't have the opportunities, or that the circumstances are not right for them. Many of them do not know that they have the freedom to make any change they choose to make, if they want to. Unfortunately, many of them choose not to. They do not understand intentions are powerful, and positive intentions can enhance their mind power.
Again, there are those whose ill health has been plaguing them all their lives. The may blame their genes. They do not know that mind power has the capability not only to switch on and off certain genes, but also to enhance the quality of their genes. To illustrate, an individual may have a damaged organ that causes health problems. However, the cells in the damaged organ are constantly regenerated; during the regeneration process, a powerful mind with positive intentions can increase the production of neuropeptides, thereby instrumental in improving the quality of regenerated cells of the damaged organ. In other words, you may have negative beliefs because you have been sick and pain has been a daily reality for you. Only when your positive belief is stronger than your negative one then you can change that negative belief. Therefore, to change a belief is not easy, but not impossible: it is all in the mind. If your positive belief in health is greater than your negative belief in sickness, then you will recover.
The mind is one of the most important and powerful body organs: it controls what you do and how you feel. Everything begins with the mind, and it is all in the mind. The art of living well is to learn to harness your mind power. To change your life for the better, you need to change your thoughts, which propel your behaviors and emotions -- or how your are going to live your life.
