Roberto Cavalli designs are seen everywhere in the fashion world these days but, that wasn't always the case. This Florence born designer was born on November 15, 1940. He is the grandson of a master painter and the son of a tailor mother. These two careers would one day combine in what would be the start of a high profile designing career that would have it's up and downs in the fashion world.

During his stay at the Academy of Arts Roberto Cavalli learned T-shirt printing and eventually took this skill to many other types of fabric. His experimentation payed off and he, along with a friend, were able to change the fashion of modern rock by finding a way to get prints onto leather.

In the 60s Cavalli started a factory to produce his designs and held his first show in 1970. His over the top style, animal prints and outrageous sensuous designs got him the attention of some of the biggest names in the design industry, but, he was considered a little too out there for the mainstream of the rich and famous society. That was all to change when a young and beautiful actress by the name of Brigitte Bardot decided to take a stroll on the beach in a Cavalli designed dress.

His initial success was short lived however, as the 80s heralded the unisex fashion design. Instead of jumping on this particular bandwagon, Cavalli remained true to himself continuing to design clothing that was sensuous, sexual and completely wild. This stubbornness would lead him to true fame and fortune as the 90s came into play and people started paying attention once more to Cavalli designs. He became the first choice of designer for not only the rockers, but the Hollywood set and other rich and famous patrons all the over world.

He has even branched out opening not only boutiques but, restaurants and now a night club as well. Through it all, his love of designing has flourished.

This is a designer who has ventured into every imaginable type of fashion. He has mastered clothing for men, women and children alike. As far as accessories go, he has successfully sold watches, perfumes, colognes and home decor.

Roberto Cavalli strives to create sexy sunglasses that are still useful for any client who loves designer eyewear. Sunglasses made by Roberto Cavalli are more popular than any other, just like his clothes. Buyers are always looking for his newest clothing designs and sunglasses.

Recently the designer has branched out to create popular sunglasses for fashionistas. The rich and famous can't get enough of his over the top frames, jewel details and animal themed designs. Roberto Cavalli does not settle for low quality items when designing his glasses, and he makes sure they have the latest and greatest gadgets too. His sunglasses are just like his clothing, sexy and outrageous.
